Laser Marking is the Way to Go, Say Trade Show Attendees

Laser marking has been embraced as the answer for most marking requirements, according to visitors to our booths at the recent Pacific Design & Manufacturing Show in Anaheim and HOUSTEX trade shows. Medical, oilfield and firearms applications topped the list of inquiries we received during the shows. But it was the sheer number of different marking requirements and material variances that really took us by surprise. It just shows how fast the market is growing, not only vertically, but horizontally as well. Our state of the art equipment and experience creating total marking systems allowed us to suggest solutions in almost every instance.

If one product could be called a star performer, it would have to be our fiber laser. We fielded numerous questions on this technology for medical applications, UDI compliance, deep marking oilfield applications as well as firearms marking.

One conversation that stands out from the others was a discussion on marking a small diameter PVC tube that is meant to be implanted in the human heart! The technology is amazing (and tiny). We also talked to a company that needs to mark medical vials which are packaged in lots of 82. They need to automatically mark 769 boxes in each 8-hour shift.

The fact that we were able to offer tailored solutions for both of these extremely divergent applications shows that our true expertise is offering full integration services, not just marking.

What questions were asked most often by visitors to our booths?

  • Do you offer custom solutions? (Yes.)
  • Do you have a direct service team to support us after the sale? (Absolutely.)

We expect to get deeper into specific application requirements with a number of the companies we met at the shows and look forward to partnering with them in the future.

If you couldn’t meet us in person at Anaheim or Houston, but would like your questions answered about our marking systems, you can always contact us. We’d love to hear from you.
